Art Contests at UniCon 2024

Get ready to showcase your artistic skills at UniCon 2024! Our event features 4 exciting contests in the Art Zone (Zone 59 on the event map). Instructions will be available both on-site and online. Our friendly staff is here to help you choose the right contest and understand the rules. Stay tuned for the schedule, and prepare to bring your artistic A-game!


Full Body Contest

Why Participate: Show off your anatomy skills by drawing a full body of a person, regardless of whether you are a beginner or already a pro at this.

How to Enter: You will have 1 hour to draw the full body of a model that the Art Staff has selected. The main goal is to make it as close to the model as possible. Stylization is allowed. Drawing must be handed in on 1 piece of paper.

Materials: Any traditional art supplies are acceptable (will be provided on the spot or you can use your own). A4 or A3 format (paper will be provided).

Schedule: Check the Art Zone contest timetable online or in the UniCon 2024 booklet for a suitable time.

Important: Please write your name/nickname and contact information (phone number, Instagram @, Twitter @, etc.) on the back of your drawing, so we can contact you in case you win the contest, but are unable to receive the prize during the Ending Ceremony.

Limited Colors Contest

Why Participate: This contest lets you demonstrate your drawing skills with a limited color palette.

How to Enter: Choose 3 pencils or markers (graphite pencils for sketching are allowed). Draw anything you like, using contrasts - outlines, shading, and highlights - to make your piece stand out.

Materials: Any traditional art supplies are acceptable (provided on-site or bring your own). Use A4 or A3 format (paper will be provided).

Schedule: Check the Art Zone contest timetable online or in the UniCon 2024 booklet for a suitable time.

Important: Write your name/nickname and contact information (phone number, Instagram, Twitter) on the back of your drawing for contact purposes if you win and cannot receive the prize during the Ending Ceremony.

30 Seconds - 3 Minutes - 30 Minutes Contest

Why Participate: This contest is a great way to demonstrate your drawing skills in a limited amount of time.

How to Enter: In this challenge you will have to draw a character of your choice 3 times! Once you come up with a concept, you will need to draw this character 3 times in the allotted time: in 30 seconds, in 3 minutes, in 30 minutes. Most important part: the pose, clothing, background, etc. should remain the same each time. The drawings need to be handed in together either on 1 piece of paper or on Max 3 pieces.

Materials: Any traditional art supplies are acceptable (will be provided on the spot or you can use your own). A4 or A3 format (paper will be provided).

1 Hour Contest

Why Participate: Join us in celebrating the lively season of summer with our exciting art contest! Create illustrations that capture the essence of water and summer fun, from beach scenes and pool parties to underwater adventures and everything in between. Use the refreshing hues of blue, aqua, yellow, and coral to bring your artwork to life. Let your creations radiate the joy and warmth of summer, inspiring stunning masterpieces that reflect the season's spirit!

How to Enter: You will have 1 hour to draw your work. It can be coloured or black/white. The drawing must be handed in on 1 piece of paper.

Materials: Any traditional art supplies are acceptable (will be provided on the spot or you can use your own). A4 or A3 format (paper will be provided).
