About Fandom Meetups

Fandom Meetups are community-organised gatherings dedicated to a specific franchise, series, game, universe, or fandom.

They are a chance for fans to meet in person, share their passion, make new friends, talk about their favourite characters and stories, take photos, and simply spend time with people who love the same thing.

You do not need to be in cosplay to participate. Cosplayers are very welcome, but Fandom Meetups are about the whole community - not only cosplay.

Applications will close on November 25, 2026 at 23:59.

What Can
a Fandom Meetup Be?

Every fandom is different, and every meetup can be different too.

A meetup may include:

meeting and talking with other fans;

group and cosplay photos;

discussions about characters, stories, theories, games, anime, movies or other fandom topics;

small quizzes, games or community activities;

sharing collections, fan projects or creative work;

other simple activities connected to the chosen fandom.

Whether your community is built around Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Pokémon, Arcane, Resident Evil, Star Wars, Final Fantasy, or something completely different - if there is a community that wants to meet, we want to hear from you.

Hosting a Meetup

Fandom Meetups are hosted by members of the community.

As a host, you help welcome participants, keep the meetup active and friendly, and coordinate any activities you would like to include.

UniCon provides an official place and scheduled time for accepted meetups during {{event_full}}.

You don't need professional hosting experience - enthusiasm for your fandom and a good idea for bringing its community together are what matter most.

Fandom Meetups will take place at {{event_short}} Cosplay Village.
